In May 2024, I had the incredible privilege of representing School of Tomorrow Uganda at the International Student Convention (ISC) held at the prestigious University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, USA. This global event brought together young, talented students from across the world, and being part of it was truly a life-changing experience.

For several months leading up to the convention, we trained every Saturday—perfecting our skills, preparing for our events, and pushing ourselves beyond our limits. I was honored to participate in multiple categories, including Table Tennis, Website Design, Computer Photo Enhancement, PowerPoint Presentation, Guitar Solo, and even athletic events like the 200-meter dash.
My First International Medal in Table Tennis
Out of all the events, my favorite was Table Tennis. Competing against players from around the world was thrilling, and each match was an opportunity to learn something new. The competition was tough, but I gave it my best and was proud to win 4th place internationally—a huge milestone in my journey as a young athlete.

Gold in Faith and Talent
Beyond sports, ISC allowed me to express my passion for both creativity and faith:
I was awarded a Gold Medal for writing the entire New Testament by hand—a project that took nine months of dedication and focus.
I also received a Gold Medal for memorizing the entire Book of Proverbs, a remarkable spiritual and mental challenge.
More gold medals followed for my participation in Large Instrumental Ensemble and Group Bible Speaking, where teamwork and discipline were essential.

First Time Flying & Life Lessons
Traveling to the U.S. marked my first experience flying by air, and I’ll never forget the excitement of checking in at the airport, receiving my ticket, and boarding that plane. It wasn’t just about travel; it was about stepping into a new world filled with learning, cultural exchange, and unforgettable moments.
Friendships, Fun, and Growth
The ISC wasn’t just about competitions. I met amazing young people from different countries, made new friends, and enjoyed the diversity of cultures, food, and experiences. Each interaction added a new layer to who I am becoming—more confident, curious, and driven to make a difference.

Looking Ahead
Being part of the International Student Convention 2024 has been a huge honor and a stepping stone in my journey as a student, athlete, creative, and young leader. I thank God, my family, my school, and all the mentors who guided me through this incredible experience.
To every young person reading this: Dream big, stay focused, and never underestimate the power of discipline, faith, and hard work.
